Three popular action-adventure movies from Universal Pictures have just officially been added to HBO Max‘s library. The iconic blockbuster films starring Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser currently have a combined worldwide gross of over $1.2 billion at the box office.

What Brendan Fraser action movies are now available on HBO Max?

As of today, 1999’s The Mummy, 2001’s The Mummy Returns, and 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor are now finally available to stream on HBO Max. The first two installments both received mixed reviews from critics. Meanwhile, the third movie has become the lowest-rated movie of the beloved franchise, with an approval rating of 13% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Mummy franchise starred Fraser as Rick O’Connell, Rachel Weisz as Evelyn Carnahan, John Hannah as Jonathan Carnahan, Arnold Vosloo as Imhotep, Patricia Velásquez as Anck-su-namun, Jonathan Hyde as Dr. Allen Chamberlain, and more. The 1999 and 2001 movies were written and directed by Stephen Sommers, while the third installment was written by Wednesday showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. It served as a loose remake of the classic 1932 movie of the same name.

“Deep in the Egyptian desert, a band of explorers searching for long-lost treasure accidentally unearth and resurrect the Mummy—an ancient 3,000-year-old legacy of terror! Adventurer Rick O’Connell pairs up with librarian Evelyn and a motley archeological crew to conquer the curse of the living dead—the vengeful reincarnation of the Egyptian priest Imhotep,” reads the synopsis for the first installment.

At the moment, Universal Pictures is officially producing the franchise’s highly anticipated fourth installment, featuring the return of Fraser, Weisz, and Hannah. It is slated to arrive in theaters on May 19, 2028. Further details about its plot are still under wraps, but it has been confirmed that the 2008 movie will not be canon.
