42^nd Street Tours is expanding to offer its services to Australian dance studios. “We are so excited to be in a position to offer our services to Australian studios,” says Emilee Anderson, senior manager at 42^nd Street Tours. As part of this expansion, 42^nd Street Tours is coming to Australia as premium sponsor of the 2025 Victorian Dance Festival (VDF) in Melbourne this May. “We have never been to the Victorian Dance Festival,” says Anderson. “I am so excited to meet new studio owners and discover how we can work together to provide our services to their families and create memorable dance tours for them.”

42^nd Street Tours specialises in performance travel. The company manages tour groups for dance education and training in America and France. This is special interest tourism. Children can develop a global perspective on their hobby or future profession, they can connect cross-culturally through art, observe choreographers, networks, and the industry in different locations. “Our clients are dance studios that are looking to enrich their dance studio’s performing and learning experiences by offering performances and workshops in various locations,” Anderson explains.

Based in New Jersey, USA, 42^nd Street Studios customises tours for the interests of the traveller. Destinations range from New York, to Nashville, and Paris. The itineraries include training and classes at dance institutes in the area, attending shows and local sightseeing attractions. The service includes coordination of bookings and tickets to shows and sightseeing activities and meals. It combines the fun of holidays with skills development workshops and industry experience. Some of the tours include participation in a performance in the area.

“The service that we offer is arranging all of the many moving parts and negotiating rates and times for your group to experience things together,” says Anderson. “Also, some of the things we are able to arrange are truly unique in nature. We have worked diligently over the years to create and now maintain relationships with various vendors who allow us to arrange for truly group-oriented experiences.”

Anderson adds, “I have never been to Australia before. This Southern American girl is excited and cannot wait to not only attend the Victorian Dance Festival, but also explore Melbourne. I may not be looking forward to that super long flight, though. Bring on all the caffeine!”
