What do we see in the Alice and Steve trailer?
As the premise promises, the trailer shows Alice and Steve’s friendship pushed to the breaking point after Steve starts dating Alice’s daughter. What follows is a stream of hilarious antics as Alice tries to split up the couple, while posing poignant questions regarding the nature of friendship and its limits.
Alice and Steve had its world premiere at Canneseries 2026 in April before heading to Hulu. The series comes just in time for Mother’s Day, with a new twist on the rom-com genre. The ensemble cast includes Joel Fry from Cruella and Yali Topol Margalith from A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher, and Ebony Aboagye also appear in supporting roles.
Hulu describes the show as “a hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, love, and revenge.” Bucking the genre’s tradition, the series is being hilariously marketed as an anti-romantic comedy.
Alice and Steve was created and written by Sophie Goodhart (Sex Education) and directed by Tom Kingsley. The show comes from Clerkenwell Films, the production company behind Emmy-winning series Baby Reindeer. Its executive producers include Petra Fried, Andy Baker, and Wim De Greef, while Fran du Pille acts as producer.

The first season of Alice and Steve will be released on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers on June 8, 2026, and internationally on Disney+.
