The next generation of models is here—and they’re more familiar than you might think.
As we near New York Fashion Week—which runs from Feb. 6 to Feb. 11, there is no denying that up-and-coming models will make their mark on the runway. And, it turns out, many of these budding models in New York and beyond have some famous faces cheering them on.
Just last month, Heidi Klum’s son Henry Samuel—who she shares with ex-husband Seal—made his runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. And to make the occasion even more exciting, the 19-year-old had the honor of opening the show.
“So proud of you Henry,” his supermodel mom, 51, wrote. “Opening the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Show in Paris.”
But Henry isn’t the only one to have recently kicked off his modeling career—and he isn’t the youngest either. Rob Kardashian and ex Blac Chyna’s daughter Dream Kardashian made her runway debut in September at the young age of 7. And while she walked the catwalk at the Zeus & Lexi Kids New York Fashion Week show, her mom was cheering her on in the front row.
Others, like Kylie Jenner—whose parents are Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner—decided to return to the world of fashion after a long hiatus. The Kardashians star began her runway career at Avril Lavigne’s Abbey Dawn fashion show in 2011. And after just recently dipping her feet back into modeling, she made her Paris Fashion Week debut in October, closing out the Coperni Spring/Summer 2025 show at Disneyland Paris.
Indeed, even the most well-known models have taken inspiration from their parents’ time spent in the industry. And for some, it can even become a family affair. Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid—whose parents are Yolanda Foster and Mohamed Hadid—both embraced their mom’s influence with wildly successful modeling careers. More recently, their older sister Alana Hadid—whose mom is Mary Butler— followed suit with her August 2023 debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week, followed by a New York Fashion Week appearance the next month.

"The hair and make up was amazing for this show," Alana told E! News at the time of her NYFW experience. "Really natural makeup and lots of glue-in extensions for the hair, so I was in this seat for a long time."
