“We were on a break!”

Amanda Peet is opening up about a time her husband dated her celebrity lookalike.

The 54-year-old actress appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepherd this week and revealed her hubby David Benioff once dated fellow actress Lake Bell when they were on a nearly one year break from each other.

“It was a mutual breakup. I wanted to have a baby so badly, I was 31,” she shared. “So I was really looking down the barrel of… it was rough. I find out, from through the grapevine, that he’s dating her.”

However, when her girlfriends took her out to cheer her up, it got worse when she was mistaken for Lake!

“From across the bar, this dude just goes: ‘Lake! Lake!’ And I was like, ‘This actually can’t be happening,’” Amanda recalled. “It was literally within 24 hours of finding out.”

Amanda also shared that she has been confused for Lake so many times over the years that it even inspired a scene in her upcoming movie Fantasy Life.
