An upcoming star-studded AMC drama TV show has received mostly positive reviews, leading to a decent score on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes. Jonathan Glatzer, whose previous credits include Succession, Better Call Saul, and Bloodline, created The Audacity. This Silicon Valley-set series follows a data-mining CEO intent on making a profit and power from insight and influence.

The Audacity cast includes Billy Magnussen as Duncan Park, Sarah Goldberg as Joanne Felder, Rob Corddry as Tom Ruffage, and Meaghan Rath as Anushka Bhattachera-Phister.

What critics are saying about The Audacity in reviews

The Audacity has garnered predominantly favorable responses from professional critics. Allison Picurro of TV Guide gave The Audacity Season 1 a positive review. “While it takes a while to get to its point, the first season wraps up relatively promisingly, and the series has already been renewed for a second season,” Picurro wrote. “It’s easy to see how The Audacity could grow into a truly astute show as it continues, but as a viewer, you can’t help wishing it made itself worth investing in during its early stages.”

Meanwhile, Mashable’s Belen Edwards noted, “If I want to hear about how billionaire tech bros are making the world worse, I can turn on the news. If I want to hear about how billionaire tech bros are making the world worse and at least laugh about it, I can watch The Audacity.”

The series also got a positive review from Randy Myers of the San Jose Mercury News. “It’s a stinging portrait of an industry under siege by its own pioneers’ grand visions of who they are,” Myers wrote.

Elsewhere, Tessa Smith of Mama’s Geeky observed that The Audacity offers a “razor-sharp, dark look at Silicon Valley’s ego and ethics.”

The Audacity gets a moderately positive score on Rotten Tomatoes

At the time of this article’s composition, The Audacity season 1 has a 67% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The series debuts on AMC on April 12, 2026. As noted above, the network has already renewed the show for a sophomore season.
