2025 Golden Globes: Ariana Grande Jokes She's "a Potato" Without These People

Time has flown by for Angelina Jolie.

After winning the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2000 for her performance in Girl, Interrupted, the actress—who recently settled her lengthy divorce from Brad Pitt—reflected on all the changes she’s experienced since then as she walked the red carpet at the 2025 ceremony.

“A lifetime of difference,” Angelina told Live from E!: Golden Globes host Zuri Hall Jan. 5 at the Beverly Hilton. “So [I’m] just happy to be here.”

In the 25 years since she last won a Golden Globe, Angelina has also become a mom to kids Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, whom she shares with Pitt. In fact, she attended the Jan. 5 ceremony with Zahara by her side, days after the pair stepped out together for the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival.

“Now I’m here with my daughter, so I’m here as a mom,” Angie gushed of her mother-daughter Globes date. “That’s different.”

The Oscar winner is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture—Drama for her performance as acclaimed opera singer Maria Callas in the Netflix biopic Maria, and while the role has earned Angelina praise of her own, she admitted she was more concerned with getting the role right than the accolades that may follow.

“I had so much respect for this woman,” she shared. “It’s the first time I played a real artist, so I just didn’t want to fail. I didn’t want to fail her and her music and the people that love her music, so, I haven’t given time to think about myself as much as I just feel relief that I somehow didn’t completely fail this extraordinary woman.”
