Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour are sharing a fun The Devil Wears Prada inspired moment while presenting together at the 2026 Oscars.

The pair took the stage during the 2026 ceremony to present the awards for Best Costume Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and their appearance quickly turned into a playful callback to the fan-favorite 2006 film.

During the presentation, Anne spoke about the importance of fashion on Hollywood’s biggest night, asking Anna what she thought of her dress. Instead of answering, the legendary fashion editor put on her signature sunglasses and responded: “And the nominees are…”

The hilarious moment felt like a nod to the world of The Devil Wears Prada, which features Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, a character widely believed to be inspired by Anna.

Later on, Anna delivered another playful reference. As Anne transitioned to the next category, Anna replied “Thank you Emily,” referencing the person Miranda mistakes for Anne‘s character Andy Sachs in the movie: Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt).
