The stars of the movie Mother Mary are stepping out for the NYC premiere!

Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel hit the red carpet together for the film’s screening on Monday night (April 13) at Metrograph in New York City.

Also in attendance were co-stars FKA twigs and Alba Baptista, as well as writer and director David Lowery.

Here’s a synopsis of the A24 movie: “Long-buried wounds rise to the surface when iconic pop star Mother Mary (Hathaway) reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer Sam Anselm (Coel) on the eve of her comeback performance.”

Anne performs original music in the movie, written and produced by Jack Antonoff, Charli xcx, and FKA twigs. The film will be released in select theaters on April 17 before a nationwide release on April 24. Tickets are on sale now. You can watch the trailer here!

This is a busy time for Anne right now as she’s also promoting the upcoming release of her highly anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, which hits theaters on May 1.
