In a decisive move that cements the region’s influence on global beauty, Charlotte Tilbury has tapped Iraqi-Finnish digital creator Yusur Al-Khalidi—known to her millions of fans as Asoo—as the face of the Middle East for its latest campaign.

The luxury British label unveiled Al-Khalidi for the Pillow Talk in Bloom initiative, a high-stakes launch expanding the brand’s cult-favourite Pillow Talk franchise. She joins a constellation of international stars in the imagery, including British actor Sienna Miller, familial muse Bella Tilbury, and model Calum Harper.

For Al-Khalidi, who commands a formidable 5 million followers on Instagram, the appointment marks another milestone in a career defined by selective, high-impact partnerships. While she has previously fronted campaigns for Rimmel London and L’Oreal Paris, the Charlotte Tilbury collaboration elevates her status from regional influencer to global beauty muse.

The campaign imagery, supplied exclusively to media outlets, features Al-Khalidi posed against a dreamy backdrop of wildflowers. She is showcased wielding the brand’s new Pillow Talk Blush Balm Lip Tint—which utilises pH Custom Colour Chemistry technology to create a unique, bespoke stain on each wearer—alongside the limited-edition Beauty Soulmates Palette.

“Shooting this campaign felt like stepping into a dream—surrounded by nature, creativity, and a team that feels more like family,” Al-Khalidi said. “There’s something beautiful about celebrating femininity in such an authentic way.”

The British brand has a recent history of weaving Arab talent into its global narrative. In 2024, Charlotte Tilbury made headlines after clarifying the termination of its contract with Palestinian-Dutch supermodel Bella Hadid, stating the decision was based on her impending beauty brand launch, Orebella, rather than her personal views. Earlier that same year, Lebanese Australian model and entrepreneur Jessica Kahawaty starred in a digital campaign for the house’s Love Frequency perfume—a floral woody musk composed by French master perfumer Anne Flipo, featuring notes of pink pepper, rose, saffron, musk, amberwood, patchouli, and cashmere wood.

But this partnership with Asoo feels distinctly personal to the founder. In an exclusive statement, Charlotte Tilbury said: “I am beyond thrilled to introduce my stunning new muse, Asoo, as the new Middle Eastern face of Pillow Talk. Asoo perfectly embodies the Pillow Talk effect—stunning, natural, effortlessly beautiful, darling.”

She added: “Asoo, you are the perfect face of Pillow Talk, and I cannot wait to see the magic we will create together. So my darlings, are you ready to let your natural beauty bloom with Pillow Talk? Habibati, it’s the Pillow Talk effect.”

For Al-Khalidi, known for a content repertoire that ranges from meticulous makeup tutorials to manga cosplay and behind-the-scenes travel diaries, the campaign signals a broader industry recognition: that Middle Eastern digital fluency and heritage are no longer niche—they are the new mainstream.
