Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities are reading — whether it’s a timeless classic or the buzzy bestseller they can’t put down? Welcome to Page-Turners, where stars reveal the books that keep them hooked, inspired and up all night. Warning: your TBR pile is about to get a lot longer.

Though she’s known for her twisty thrillers like “The Housemaid” and “Never Lie,” Freida McFadden loves to read all kinds of genres.

“When it comes to reading, I like to skip around between genres so I don’t get bored,” McFadden — whose new book, “Dear Debbie,” is on sale now — tells Page Six.

Book cover for "Dear Debbie" by Freida McFadden, featuring a red poppy, a gold scissor cutting a green stem, all against a dark teal background.

She adds, “Reading is one of my absolute favorite activities, and I’ve always got a book (or Kindle) in my hands! If a book is popular, I will read it just to see what the fuss is all about… and often, the fuss is very much deserved!”

McFadden jokes it was “agonizing” and “nearly impossible” picking only a few of her favorite books.

See below for the authors six must-read book recommendations.

“Remember Me?” by Sophie Kinsella

“While I’m a thriller author, I’m also a romantic at heart. Nobody does a romantic comedy like the great Sophie Kinsella, and this particular one made me both laugh and cry. On a personal note, her final autobiographical novella inspired me to step out of my comfort zone, and I’ll be forever grateful to this incredible woman.”

“Rebecca” by Daphne Du Maurier

Book cover for "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier, featuring a woman with red hair looking down, with text "BEST NOVEL OF THE 20TH CENTURY ANTHONY AWARD WINNER".

“‘Rebecca’ is a haunting masterpiece that is the mother of every gothic thriller. Mandalay lingers in the back of my mind every time I read about an isolated mansion full of dark secrets.”

“Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn

Book cover for Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl" with white wisps on a black background and pink text.

“I believe this book reinvented the modern domestic thriller. Even more than a decade after reading it, ‘Gone Girl’ still lives rent-free in the back of my head.”

“Jurassic Park” by Michael Crichton

Book cover for Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park," 25th Anniversary Edition.

“I’ve never read a book that was so much like taking a ride in an amusement park. ‘Jurassic Park’ has an incredible scientific premise, executed perfectly, and it’s easy to see why this book spawned a franchise. And I admit it — it’s also one of my favorite movies!”

“Scandalous Women” by Gill Paul

Book cover for "Scandalous Women" by Gill Paul, featuring a blue cocktail in a martini glass with a cherry splashing against a pink background.

“As a female author who attempts to create crowd-pleasing, fun books, this novel felt like a must-read. ‘Scandalous Women’ is a fictionalized historical novel about Jackie Collins and Jacqueline Susann that is equal parts heartwarming and empowering.”

“Still Alice” by Lisa Genova

Book cover for Lisa Genova's novel "Still Alice," a New York Times Bestseller and 10th Anniversary Edition.

“As a physician specializing in brain-related disorders, I found ‘Still Alice’ to be a masterfully done account of a woman coming to terms with an early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Lisa Genova is a neuroscientist herself whose books are all so authentic and heartfelt.”
