Tina Brown joins as co-host on The Ex Files Season 2
Brown is popularly known for being the former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair and Tatler. She’s also the founding editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast, as per Deadline. During a recent interview, she appreciated Christine and Jamie’s efforts to create spaces that drive the conversations beyond the news. “I’m delighted to add my perspective and to ask a few questions that may be slightly less diplomatic. There is no shortage of personalities, power struggles and political stories to unpack,” she added.
Amanpour, meanwhile, praised Brown’s editorial talent and her “extraordinary” ability to uncover “the story behind the story.” She believes that as US midterms are approaching, Brown could be an ideal person to analyze the power plays and forces influencing global politics.
This update comes a few days after Amanpour issued a statement, announcing her decision to part ways with CNN. She said, “After many months of thought and a few sleepless nights, I have decided to separate from CNN, my partner of 43 fantastic years!”
She stated that her daily show on CNN and PBS would come to an end this year, with an arrangement already in place for Amanpur episodes to continue once a week through to June. Amanpour further elaborated, thanking her colleagues and praising the “camaraderie that counted so much.”
