Billy Bush is responding to reports that he had a fight with “The Tell” author Amy Griffin while they were both in attendance at Jennifer Meyer‘s wedding in Hawaii.
The former Access Hollywood host, 55, opened up on the Monday episode of his podcast Hot Mics about what happened.
“I’m going to clear up the story of my encounter with Amy Griffin. From the moment I arrived in Lanai, I could feel her glare all over me, and she was telling anyone who would listen not to talk to me. ‘Don’t talk to him.’ I’m convinced that it’s at least possible that I’m the reason she attended this wedding,” Billy started off.

Then I hear her and Demi Moore talking not far away, with Demi saying, ‘You know, it’s okay. You can go talk to him. Amy, it’s all right. Stop.’ This whole scene is unfolding, and then finally, she comes at me. I can see that she’s coming, and she stumbles, and her purse spills open entirely. Everything is everywhere. Mints are all over the place.”
“Then she pulls up in my face. She’s shaking, and she says, ‘You don’t know me.’ I look at her, and I’m like, ‘Now?’ Right in front of her, I say, ‘Oh, I know you. You’re Amy Griffin.’ And she says, ‘No, you don’t know me.’ I’m like, ‘Okay, I can see you’re upset. I don’t think this is the time or the place to have this discussion. I’d love to talk to you on the record or off the record, either way, at another time, but not now.’ I was calm and cool the whole time,” Billy said.
Billy Bush says that others saw the encounter
Billy said, “Everyone kept coming up to me later, saying, ‘Holy s**t, what just went down? Oh, my God. Are you okay? You handled that beautifully.’ As we’re walking to the shuttle buses to go to the main reception, I hear Amy saying something. She pulls up next to [my girlfriend Ali Wise] and says, ‘How could you be with someone who’s abusing me?’ Ali says, ‘I’m sorry, what?'” Amy allegedly then told her, “He’s doing this for his entertainment.”
Billy continued, “I mean, the nerve. This is another woman’s wedding. Imagine making it all about you, right? And the narcissism. Assuming that because of her great wealth and prominence, everyone should just swallow what she’s serving. I’m interested in the truth. And, by the way, I’ve always tried to soften things by mentioning how nice people say she is. Oof. That’s kind of far gone.”
Billy made more claims, which you can watch in the videos below.
