A comment by a Sony executive is being explained in a deposition amid Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni‘s It Ends With Us lawsuit.

The 38-year-old actress was called a “f–king terrorist” by Andrea Giannetti, an executive vice president of production and senior creative at Sony Pictures, who explained why the comment was made in a newly unsealed testimony.

In the deposition from last September, the executive confirmed she made the comment after she learned Blake had threatened to leave the movie following a list of requested changes.

Andrea stated in the testimony that Sony had already invested $28 million, roughly, into the project at the time the comment was made, and there was a possibility of it not even being released, per People.

“There was a tremendous amount of money that had been invested and spent, and we had to finish the movie or it was unreleasable,” she stated.

She also testified that she did not remember if Blake telling her Justin and producer Jamey Heath did anything specific on set that made her feel uncomfortable.

After the movie’s release, Andrea did send quite a positive text to Blake.

“Blake, $50 million!! Your blood, sweat, tears, brilliant smarts, heart and soul in every single frame,” she wrote in the August 2024 message, which was entered into evidence. “My God, it’s incredible. Thank you 50 million times. And it’s only Saturday night.”

A lot has been released from the unsealed documents, including texts between Blake and Taylor Swift, and text messages from co-star Jenny Slate.
