Children in Baltimore City are diagnosed with asthma at over double the rate of the national average. Poor air quality and health disparities disproportionately impact BIPOC children and make asthma more difficult to manage. The BREATHE Center is a group of Johns Hopkins physicians, scientists, and trainees who work every day to advocate for lung health through research and community engagement.
