Brittany Mahomes Reveals Shock Revelation Three Weeks After Giving Birth

This turnover from pregnancy to postpartum has got Brittany Mahomes scratching her head.

Three weeks after giving birth to her third baby Golden with husband Patrick Mahomes, the 29-year-old—who is also mom to kids Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 2—shared insight into how her body is recovering. And for Brittany, it's been a quite the perplexing experience.

“Ever since I have been home from having golden I have had a green recovery score (except the first night)," she wrote on Instagram Story Feb. 4. "I’m very confused but I also am just happy to not be pregnant and tired all the time."

Along with her post, the Kansas City Current co-owner also shared a screenshot of her stats from the wellness app Whoop, which describes "green recovery" as indication that the body is "well recovered and primed to perform" after a night's rest.

However, Brittany noted that she's been getting "less sleep," so she's a little befuddled by her "better recovery."

Sharing a laughing emoji, she added, "Make it make sense."

But there could be an answer to this mystery. Per the Whoop website, proper hydration and good nutrition are other key factors to improving body recovery.

"I do eat healthy," Brittany shared in August, when she appeared on the brand's podcast. "I like to put good foods into my body. I feel better that way."

After spending her college years meal-prepping, the former professional soccer player said she's now developed a "pretty good balance" when it comes to her diet. Her go-to meals include fish with vegetable and coconut rice for lunch, as well as steak with couscous and greens for dinner.

"I like to enjoy desserts," she noted, "but I also do really focus on what I'm eating and what goes into my body."

As for exercise? In addition to working out at the gym, Brittany said she prioritizes being active with her kids by taking them to the park.

"I make sure the kids are staying active as well," she added. "This is the kind of life we live. We don't just sit in the house and watch TV."
