Anne Hathaway is debuting her pop star persona, Mother Mary!

The 43-year-old actress debuted “Burial,” the first song from the upcoming A24 psychological thriller Mother Mary, on Thursday (March 5).

The song was co-written by Anne with Jack Antonoff, Charli xcx, and George Daniel, and comes ahead of the Mother Mary: Greatest Hits soundtrack album arriving on April 17, featuring additional songs by FKA twigs.

The David Lowery movie is described as a a psychosexual pop opera starring Anne, Michaela Coel, Hunter Schafer, and FKA twigs.

Here’s a synopsis: “Long-buried wounds rise to the surface when iconic pop star Mother Mary (Hathaway) reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer Sam Anselm (Coel) on the eve of her comeback performance.”

Atheena Frizzell, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Brown Findlay, Alba Baptista, Isaura Barbé-Brown, and Sian Clifford also star.
