The trailer for Children of Blood and Bone is finally here, and Paramount Pictures also released new character posters!

The film is set to hit theaters on January 15, 2027 and is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood.

What is Children of Blood and Bone about?

In the epic fantasy world of Orïsha, a young woman goes on a quest to reclaim the magic that was violently stolen from her people. She and her brother ally with the daughter and son of the king to fight back against his brutal rule.

Who stars in Children of Blood and Bone?

The cast includes Thuso Mbedu, Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, and Tosin Cole. Also featuring Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch, Zackary Momoh, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Idris Elba and Viola Davis. Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as King Saran and Regina King as Queen Nehanda.

What is the drama surrounding Children of Blood and Bone?

These photos were released just a few weeks after some drama unfolded. Author Tomi Adeyemi publicly said she is not planning on promoting the film adaptation of her best-selling, fan favorite novel. She also revealed she’s seemingly feuding with one of the film’s stars and blocked them.
