Chloe Kim is sticking up for her fellow U.S. Olympian Hunter Hess. While in Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics, the 27-year-old freestyle skier addressed what is politically going on in America. “It brings up mixed emotions to represent the U.S. right now,” Hunter told reporters. “It’s a little hard. There’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of.” After Hunter‘s comments went viral, Donald Trump bashed the Olympian, calling him a “real loser.” Keep reading to find out more…During a press conference on Monday (February 9), Chloe, 25, defended Hunter when she was asked about Trump‘s comments. “My parents being immigrants, this one definitely hits pretty close to home,” the gold medal-winning snowboarder said, per Us Weekly. “I think in moments like these it is really important for us to unite and stand up for one another for all that’s going on.” She continued, “I’m really proud to represent the United States. The U.S. has given my family and I so much opportunity, but I also think we are allowed to voice our opinions on what’s going on. I think that we need to lead with love and compassion. I would love to see some more of that.” If you didn’t see, Trump also said that he refuses to apologize after sharing an extremely racist video of Barack and Michelle Obama.
