Chris Pratt has confirmed he will be back as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the MCU, at some point!
The 47-year-old actor first starred as the superhero character in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, and has appeared in five more movies since.
In an end credits scene for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, a banner said, “The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return,” and that appears to still be the case.
During an appearance on The Playlist’s Mike DeAngelo‘s The Bingeworthy podcast, Chris said that “hard action” has been taken for his character to return to the movie franchise!
“I have a great relationship with Kevin [Feige] and Lou [D’Esposito], and there have been both ongoing conversations about how we make good on that promise and also hard action taken to make sure that we make good on that promise,” the actor shared. “So yeah, you’ll see Star-Lord again, which is very exciting, but I’m not at liberty to say when that’s going to be, but he’s not going anywhere.”
The next MCU movie is Avengers: Doomsday, which hits theaters in December. Chris has not been announced to be reprising his role, but directors Joe and Anthony Russo have teased there will be more stars returning. We’ll have to wait and see if Star-Lord returns!
