Jessica Klepser, ex-wife of Baby-Sitters Club actor Christian Oliver, shared a heartfelt tribute to him and their two daughters one year after they were killed in a plane crash.

Actor Christian Oliver’s Ex-Wife Shares Touching Footage Months After Family’s Death in Plane Crash

Christian Oliver’s ex-wife continues to grieve for her family.

Jessica Klepser—who was married to Oliver from 2011 to 2021—recently shared a tribute to the Baby-Sitters Club actor and their two daughters, Madita, 12, and Annik, 10, who died in a private plane crash last year.

“One year,” Jessica wrote in a lengthy Instagram post Jan. 5, one day after the anniversary of her family’s tragic death. “Crazy how the same amount of days can feel unbearable long and unbelievable short at the same time.”

Alongside her caption, Jessica shared a video of herself and her loved ones honoring her late family members through an altar on a beach.

“We went back to Newport this weekend and allowed ourselves to feel it all: the love, the loss, the grief, the gratitude,” she continued in her tribute. “Pain and peace. We cried a lot, but we also laughed a lot. And that’s okay, all of it. Grateful for all those beautiful people in my life who let me be me this year!”

The 51-year-old also shared a note directly to her late ex-husband and her kids—who died Jan. 4, 2024, along with pilot Robert Sachs, when their plane experienced a malfunction and crashed on their way back from a Caribbean vacation.

“Maditz, Anniki and Chrissel, I will forever and always miss you and us together here on this side,” she added, crediting them for the beautiful beach views in her video: “Thank you for sending the dolphins in the morning and for painting the sky pink at night."

Jessica’s latest tribute is just one of the many she had made for her family over the last year. In June, she shared another honest glimpse into her grieving process, admitting she had been going through old messages with her eldest daughter.

This morning I went through old text exchanges I had with Madita and found this video," she wrote alongside a sweet video of her daughter singing and telling her she loved her. “I don't even remember she had sent it! Kind of crazy that she holds her phone up to heaven the whole time she sings!”

Jessica also remembered her 10-year-old daughter’s “gentle yet strong demeanor,” after her death, writing in a tribute last January, “She was always the first to offer a kind word or a comforting hug.”

Shortly after losing her family, the casting director emphasized that she she continued to "deeply feel" her late family's love.

"They are here with me for every step," she wrote in an Instagram post last year. "And they are watching us."
