WWE commentator Corey Graves moved from SmackDown to NXT after the RAW Netflix premiere. Last week marked the beginning of the partnership between the world’s top wrestling promotion, WWE, and the streaming giant Netflix.

The first edition of RAW on Netflix aired from the Inuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. WWE aimed to generate excitement for their debut on Netflix, and they succeeded. The show drew 4.9 million views globally, with 2.6 million households tuning in from the U.S.

The show also claimed the top spot as the number one TV show on Netflix last week in the U.S. The partnership between WWE and Netflix proved successful, with strong attendance and celebrity appearances.

However, leading up to the Netflix premiere, the promotion implemented several changes across its three shows. WWE commentator Corey Graves worked on SmackDown with the team of Michael Cole, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett worked on RAW, and Vic Joseph and Booker T worked for NXT.

WWE made big changes to the commentary teams for all three of their shows ahead of the Netflix premiere. Pat McAfee returned to RAW, joining Michael Cole on commentary, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett moved to SmackDown. Corey Graves, who was on SmackDown, joined the NXT commentary team with Vic Joseph and Booker T. However, it seems that Graves is not happy with his new position.

WWE NXT commentator Corey Graves took to X to express his frustration following the commentary team changes. He shared his feelings, saying it felt like chasing a dream, only to be told he was no longer able to pursue it. Graves expressed frustration about being told he wasn’t famous enough to keep his position.

Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream.

Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty fucking awesome at it.

And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor,…

The changes in WWE haven’t been limited to just the commentary teams. Ring announcers Lilian Garcia and Alicia Taylor also swapped roles. Garcia is now on SmackDown, while Taylor has moved to RAW.
