Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning’s evening will go down as one of the greats.
After the 2025 Golden Globe awards were handed out Jan. 5 and host Nikki Glaser finished her roast of the attendees (looking at you Timothée Chalamet), the two sisters exited the Beverly Hilton—but kept the festivities going.
And that included an outfit change. On the red carpet earlier in the night, Dakota stunned in a billowing red gown complete with thigh-high slit and wraparound scarf, while Elle channeled old-school Hollywood glam in a beige-colored dress with leopard detailing. But after the event, they each swapped their looks for more casual party looks.
Dakota—who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television for her work in Ripley—slipped into a sleep black dress with plunging neckline for Disney’s Globes after party. She styled the look with a bright red purse.
Elle, meanwhile, kept the animal-print theme of her original look, letting out her wild side in a head-to-toe leopard printed dress as she strutted next to her sister.
The Great star’s look included red dice on the dress’ spaghetti straps and a matching neck scarf. She finished off her look with burgundy, open-toed heels and a leopard print clutch.
But before celebrating at the after party, the sister duo were joined by an important third party for the ceremony itself: their grandmother.

“We got ready together, all in the same room,” Elle shared during Live From E!: Golden Globes of the family affair. “Our grandmother is here tonight as Dakota’s date.”
The 26-year-old added of her sister, “I hope she wins. Tonight is so special.”
Ultimately, she lost to Baby Reindeer’s Jessica Gunning (see all the winners here). But that didn’t stop the night from being a success. After all, the duo were seen smiling and posing for pictures at multiple after parties.
