What to know about Buckaroo Bob and the Minions’ Thanksgiving appearance

Macy’s upcoming Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature a cowboy twist with Illumination’s Bob the Minion. A giant character balloon named Buckaroo Bob the Minion will be included in the store’s iconic 100th Thanksgiving Day Parade. Buckaroo Bob is the fifth and final new giant balloon variant for this year’s parade.

Minions are not the only giant balloons that will feature in the parade. Other popular franchises will also appear with their own variants, including Bluey, Buzz Lightyear, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Goku, Hello Kitty, Mario, PAC-MAN, Pikachu & Eevee, and more.

The store held the first Thanksgiving Parade in November 1924. After receiving a huge response from the crowd, they decided to organize the parade every Thanksgiving.

Macy’s 100th Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on November 26, 2026 on NBC and Peacock.
