Another season of The Traitors just came to an end and fans might be wondering who gets the money that is won on the show.

When celebrities appear on reality shows, the money is often donated to charity if they win a prize.

Throughout season four, the contestants were able to build up the cash prize of over $220,000! So, who gets that money?

The celebrities get the money.

While some of the celebs featured on the show are very wealthy, not all of them are. Many of the contestants are reality stars who are known for just appearing on shows like Survivor or Love Island, and they aren’t necessarily wealthy.

In season three, the four Faithfuls at the end each received around $51,000 each as the grand prize.

Dylan Efron revealed to People that he used the money to get a larger apartment.

“I moved out of my one-bedroom little studio and now I’ve got a guest room and a dishwasher,” he said in March 2025. “I’m still learning how to use it!”

Lord Ivar Mountbatten used his winnings to pay for his daughter’s schooling.

“The eldest and the youngest both went to university, so I paid for their school fees. The middle one is a paramedic, so she’s gone on a different course,” he told People. “She wants to get a camper van and travel around a bit, and I feel that she was a bit short-changed, so, I said I’d do that.”

RHONJ‘s Dolores Catania was also a winner last year and she donated some money to charity and also put money towards her son’s wedding.

“I was going to buy myself something, and that’s not happening because my son got engaged, so now I have to put that towards that,” she told People.
