Doechii appears to have created a new Instagram account to accompany her official one and it has “lesbian” featured in her bio.

The 27-year-old rapper wrote in one of the two posts currently available that she wants a space to “express Jaylah the human outside of Doechii the artist.” Her real name is Jaylah Hickmon.

Her secondary account is @gutsgritsglamour and she also recently shared a new musical behind-the-scenes clip.

In October 2024, Doechii spoke openly about her sexuality to Gay Times, sharing that she was dating a woman and identified as bisexual.

“I think I’ve always been gay. I always knew I was gay. I’m currently bisexual. I am with a woman now and I have always known that I loved women. I’ve been very, very aware from an early age,” she said at the time.

The “Anxiety” singer, who just won a Grammy for Best Music Video for the viral song, hasn’t confirmed anything publicly beyond the bio change, but her fans are already showing tons of support for her online.
