Donald Trump's 'WSJ' Lawsuit Over Alleged Epstein Birthday Note Dismissed, His Legal Team Responds

Donald Trump has been dealt a legal blow on Monday (April 13).

If you don’t recall, a few months ago, there were claims that Trump allegedly created a birthday image for the disgraced dead sex offender Jeffrey Epstein years ago. The WSJ published the image and shared that “Lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have given Congress a copy of the birthday book put together for the financier’s 50th birthday, which includes a letter with Trump’s signature that he has said doesn’t exist.”

Well, Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch and The Wall Street Journal, but a Florida judge, Judge Gayles, dismissed the filing.

The judge said Trump had “not plausibly alleged that the Defendants published the Article with actual malice.”

“Because the Court finds that the Complaint fails to adequately allege actual malice, it declines to address these issues at this juncture. Moreover, whether President Trump was the author of the Letter or Epstein’s friend are questions of fact that cannot be determined at this stage of the litigation,” the judge added.

He is allowed to re-file this complain within the next few weeks.

His legal team said in a statement, via Variety, “President Trump will follow Judge Gayles’s ruling and guidance to refile this powerhouse lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal and all of the other Defendants. The President will continue to hold accountable those who traffic in Fake News to mislead the American People.”
