Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayFashion
One of the most anticipated moments of Paris Haute Couture Week Fall/Winter 2026/27 arrived with Duran Lantink’s first haute couture collection for Jean Paul Gaultier. Stepping in as the house’s creative director in 2025, Duran Lantink entered fashion’s most celebrated legacies, delivering a collection that honored Gaultier’s rebellious DNA while introducing his own playful perspective.
Duran Lantink explored the idea of transformation, a concept that has long defined Jean Paul Gaultier. The collection blended theatrical couture creations with sculptural silhouettes, exaggerated proportions, and playful illusions. Familiar Gaultier signatures, from corsetry and female form to gender fluidity, were reimagined through Lantink’s contemporary lens.
Duran Lantink’s collection was inspired by Queen Marie Antoinette; he imagined French royalty through a surreal, modern filter. Voluminous gowns and big shapes, like latex and transparent TPU; unexpected textures; and unique corsets spoke of the eighteenth-century dress. The result felt simultaneously aristocratic and rebellious, capturing the spirit of couture without feeling nostalgic.
The collection presented intricate embroidery, precise tailoring, and hand-finished details reflecting skill excellence. Several looks manipulated the body proportions through sculpted forms and optical illusions, reinforcing Duran Lantink’s idea of beauty and form.
The collection embraced couture’s theatrical spirit while speaking to a new generation, reaffirming that the future of the maison lies not in looking back but in continuously reshaping what couture can become.
