Multiple flights operated by Emirates and flydubai have been cancelled or delayed, causing disruptions for passengers departing from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

Emirates has suspended all flights to and from Iraq, Iran, Jordan, and Lebanon on June 13 and 14, including routes to: Amman (EK903/EK904, EK905/EK906), Baghdad (EK943/EK944), Basra (EK945/EK946), Beirut (EK953/EK954, EK957/EK958), Tehran (EK977/EK978, EK979/EK980).

Passengers with connecting flights to these destinations will not be accepted for travel until further notice. The airline has advised affected travellers to contact their travel agents or local Emirates offices for rebooking options.

Similarly, flydubai has suspended flights to Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Iran, Iraq, and Tel Aviv, with some flights being rerouted or returning to origin. The airline stated it is monitoring the situation closely and adjusting schedules accordingly.

Affected flydubai passengers can reach out to the flydubai Contact Centre (+971 600 54 44 45), visit the flydubai Travel Shop, or contact their travel agents for assistance.

A Dubai Airports spokesperson confirmed the disruptions, stating: “Due to the closure of airspace over Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and Syria, some flights at DXB and DWC were cancelled or delayed. We are working with airlines to minimise inconvenience to passengers.”

Passengers are strongly advised to, check their flight status before heading to the airport, ensure contact details are updated with their airline, and allow extra time for potential delays.
