Founder of ONORI, Emirati fashion designer Sharifa Alsharif AlHashemi shares her morning to evening beauty routine.
Talk us through your daily routine.
I usually start my day around 7:30am with a refreshing shower and my skincare routine. It’s my little ritual to feel centred and ready. Most mornings are dedicated to movement with a mix of personal training and Pilates. After my workout, I take a quick shower and head to work. I’m usually in the office by 10am, where I start by reviewing my emails, organising my inbox, and setting my to-do list for the day and week. Around 11am, I always have my matcha latte, my favorite daily treat.
How does your evening routine differ?
My evenings are much slower and more relaxed compared to my mornings. If I have the energy and time, I like to go for a walk, usually somewhere peaceful to clear my mind after a long day. On quieter days, I prefer staying in. I’ll have dinner, spend some time reading, and then do a sauna session, which helps me unwind and disconnect before bed.
What are your go-to skincare products?
My skincare ride-or-dies are all about high performance results. Biologique Recherche’s Lotion P50V keeps my skin smooth and balanced, while the brand’s VG Tensil serum gives that instantly lifted, sculpted effect. Skin Design London’s C Antioxidant Glow Serum delivers a bright, fresh radiance, and SkinCeuticals’ iconic C E Ferulic seals the deal with powerhouse antioxidant protection and long-lasting luminosity.
Are you a fan of masks?
Not really, I don’t always have the time to apply them regularly. But I do have one cleansing detox mask that I use whenever I have an event or travel the next day. It gives my skin an instant refresh.
How would you describe your approach to makeup?
My approach to makeup is very clean and minimal. I usually don’t wear much unless it’s for an event or a special occasion. I prefer focusing on healthy, glowing skin rather than covering it. I like to enhance my natural features. On most days, I’ll just wear a bit of eye pencil on the lower lid and a lip liner.
What can always be found in your makeup bag?
A lip liner, eyebrow brush and eye pencil.
Which fragrances are your current favourites?
My fragrance wardrobe leans toward bold, mysterious blends with real presence. Clive Christian remains unmatched for opulence, as the oudh notes wrap you in deep, resinous warmth that feels both modern and timeless. For something more atmospheric, Gucci’s A Midnight Stroll delivers that smoky incense trail that lingers like a memory. And when I want depth with an unexpected softness, L’Artisan Parfumeur’s Abyssae is my go-to, earthy, elegant, and effortlessly enchanting.
Talk us through your hair routine.
I don’t really follow a strict hair routine, but I try to keep it as natural as possible. I avoid blow-drying or playing with it too much to prevent damage. I focus on using good quality shampoo and conditioner with chemical-free ingredients. I also try to apply a hair mask once a week for extra nourishment and shine.
What is the most unusual item in your makeup bag?
Honestly, nothing unusual. I’m very simple when it comes to what I carry. Maybe the only thing that stands out is that I always keep hand cream, sanitiser, and alcohol swabs. I like feeling clean and fresh throughout the day. Other than that, my makeup bag is very minimal, just the basics.
Where are you traveling to this winter and what is your winter skincare routine?
Wherever I go, my main focus is keeping my skin deeply hydrated, especially in colder climates. My go-to product is the La Roche-Posay B5+ cream. It’s rich, soothing, and gives my skin that healthy, nourished glow. I also use retinol at night to maintain smoothness and radiance.
