Euphoria recently paid tribute to Angus Cloud, Kevin Turen, and Eric Dane at the end of its Season 3 premiere on April 12. Created by Sam Levinson, Season 3 is a continuation of the hit series but begins with a five-year time jump in the narrative. As per its synopsis, the third season will focus on the lives of characters played by Jacob Elordi, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and others as they navigate new aspects of their lives.

Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, and Kevin Turen get ‘In Memorium’ tribute in Euphoria Season 3

The premiere of Euphoria Season 3 ended with a tribute to the show’s late stars Angus Cloud and Eric Dane, along with co-producer Kevin Turen.

At the end of the premiere, the text appeared, “In Memorium Angus Cloud,” followed by “In Memorium Eric Dane,” and “In Memorium Kevin Turen.” Cloud played the character Fezco and became a firm fan favorite in the series. He died in 2023. Following his death, creator Sam Levinson wrote, “There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented, and way too young to leave us so soon.”

Eric Dane, who appeared in Euphoria as the father of Jacob Elordi’s character, Cal, passed away at the age of 53 in February. Reacting to his death, Levinson conveyed in a statement, “Working with him was an honor. Being his friend was a gift. Eric’s family is in our prayers. May his memory be for a blessing.”

Turen was one of Levinson’s frequent collaborators on his projects. He passed away at the age of 44 in November 2023. Recently, Levinson spoke with Variety about working with Dane and Cloud, and he also shared the impact of their loss. He said, “Losing Angus was really hard for us as a production. I loved him very deeply.” Levinson also mentioned that when Dane arrived on set following his diagnosis, “I noticed that his speech was a little slurred. He was a bit self-conscious, and I said, ‘This works perfectly,'” adding that “we just had a blast shooting,” and that Dane performed “with such grace and dignity.” He finished by stating, “He’s a consummate professional all the way through, and I miss him.”
