Billy is the longtime partner of disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and he has stayed by her side throughout her legal battles and now while she’s in prison. He literally bares everything in the new movie and he doesn’t come off that great in the film, with the Los Angeles Times calling him the “villain” of the project.
We’ve gathered everything you need to know about Billy and his response to the movie.
How did Billy Evans meet Elizabeth Holmes?
Billy and Elizabeth reportedly met in 2017, as Theranos was facing mounting scrutiny over its blood-testing technology. They became engaged in August 2018 and have generally kept their relationship quiet.
They reportedly remain engaged, but are not believed to be married at this time, which some have guessed is a strategic decision to separate their financials.
Billy comes from the family behind Evans Hotels, a hospitality company based in San Diego. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in economics, and also studied in China. His professional background includes work in strategy, analytics, and technology before he moved into the health-tech space.

Elizabeth and Billy share two children. Their son, William, was born in 2021, while their daughter, Invicta, was born in 2023.
Billy Evans didn’t see the movie before it was publicly released
While chatting on the All-In Podcast, Billy revealed that he hadn’t yet seen the movie.
“I haven’t seen it. I might think this is the dumbest thing I have ever done,” he said.
“Am I nervous? I have been through so many intense, surreal experiences that it takes a bit to raise my blood pressure,” he said. “With this there’s certainly concern but it’s ultimately our decision.”

Billy admitted his partner Elizabeth Holmes “looks insane” in the trailer for the movie. “Yeah, it’s pretty intense. Well, especially the music,” he added.
Has Billy Evans seen You Can See Everything?
YES, it appears he finally saw the movie on opening night, Friday, October 16.
He was interviewed after the screening by Immortals founder Bryan Johnson, though it was off the record.
Bryan tweeted, “I interviewed Billy, Elizabeth’s partner, following a private screening last night. I can’t say what we talked about because it was off the record. But I will say the doc is a masterpiece.”
What did Billy Evans think of the movie?
Bryan didn’t share Billy‘s specific thoughts, but said that he didn’t try to defend himself.
“Billy was magnanimous in conversation. I gave him every opportunity to defend himself and strike back because Fielder roughed him up, and yet, he demurred. The immediate reactions of those present were scattered. Every conversation I had went in a surprising direction. Most entered the evening unequivocally believing Holmes is guilty and many left unsure what just happened. Felder pulled off a piece that only opens the next chapter in what will surely become a continued saga,” he added.
Billy responded to the tweet.
He wrote, “Thank you so much for making the trip up, treating the interview with such care. I really admire you Bryan, you are brave and selfless and I’m honored to know you. When the world is against you and the pain is so real it means so much to have people like you show such kindness.”

Billy responded to chatter about Elizabeth‘s aversion to coffee.
Even though Fielder notes in the movie that Holmes doesn’t drink coffee, there’s a scene where she’s holding a mug and seemingly enjoying a cup of coffee.

In the movie, he admits to gaining access to Elizabeth‘s Twitter page using his power of attorney.
