Fan-favorite soap opera Beyond the Gates, which airs on weekdays on CBS, will not air new episodes on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, and Wednesday, May 6, 2026, due to the special coverage for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Last week, Beyond the Gates was also preempted during the same time slot because of the first leg of the semi-finals.

Beyond the Gates won’t have new episodes on May 5 and 6

Unfortunately for fans of the CBS soap opera, Beyond the Gates is set to miss two more episodes due to coverage of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. The show will not air new episodes on May 5 and May 6, 2026. This will make room for the broadcast of the second leg matches.

Due to coverage of the first leg, the show was already preempted on April 28 and 29, 2026.

This week, on May 5, 2026, Arsenal F.C. will take on Atlético Madrid in the return fixture after a 1-1 draw in the first leg. Meanwhile, on May 6, 2026, FC Bayern Munich will face Paris Saint-Germain F.C. after their first-leg match ended 5-4 in PSG’s favor.

The ongoing Champions League coverage conflicts with Beyond the Gates’ regular broadcast schedule. However, the soap opera will return with a new episode on Thursday, May 7, 2026, and continue airing new episodes afterward.

Meanwhile, CBS soap operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will continue airing new episodes on both days because their time slots do not overlap with the Champions League fixtures. Other soap operas, such as General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, will also remain unaffected by the coverage.

Fans can expect the storyline to resume when Beyond the Gates returns after the two-day hiatus.
