Nick Reiner is appearing in court for the first time.

The 32-year-old appeared with Deputy Public Defender Kimberly Greene during his arraignment in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday (February 23) Los Angeles.

He is facing two counts of first-degree murder for the killing of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, in their Los Angeles home back in December.

He apparently spoke only one time while agreeing to a court date of April 29, Variety reports.

His lawyer replaced Alan Jackson as his past lawyer after he suddenly quit the case.

The police issued a statement claiming that the couple’s son is “responsible” for their deaths by mid-December.
