A Game of Thrones movie is apparently in the works!

The film is currently in development with a famed Netflix showrunner at the helm - Beau Willimon of House of Cards fame. He also is a writer for Andor.

The Wrap writes that the project is “firmly in development.”

Page Six reports that it’s possible it could center around a character famous in the lore, but not yet seen on screen: Aegon I, aka Aegon the Conqueror. He’s a legendary Targaryen king.

Aegon I Targaryen, called Aegon the Conqueror, forged the Seven Kingdoms into a single realm after invading Westeros with his sister-wives, Visenya and Rhaenys, and their dragons. His victory led to the creation of the Iron Throne and the beginning of Targaryen rule over Westeros for nearly three centuries.
