George Clooney's Major Broadway Payday Revealed in New Report

George Clooney was on Broadway last year in the play Good Night, and Good Luck and now it has payday has been revealed.

Not only did George star in the play as Edward R. Murrow, he also co-wrote the play and served as a lead producer.

The play was one of the top-grossing shows of all time on Broadway, becoming the first play to ever gross more than $4 million in a single week.

Broadway Journal has viewed production financial statements that were filed in the New York Attorney General’s office, which reveal how much money George earned from his work on the play.

It has been reported that George earned a $125,000 weekly salary, which led him to a $1.625 million gross salary for the 13-week run of the play.

The report claims that George also earned $3.5 million in star royalties, $1.25 million in profit participation, and $3 million in author royalties that he shared with co-writer Grant Heslov. As a producer, he shared $1.9 million in royalties and $5 million in adjusted net profits with the rest of the lead producers.

George‘s estimated payday for the play is a total of $9 million, according to Broadway Journal. The numbers haven’t been verified with his team.
