Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway2025 Golden Globes: Glen Powell’s Parents Crash His Interview (and You’ll Be Obsessed With Them!)
Glen Powell’s parents know that if he feels it, he chases it.
After all, Cyndy Powell and Glen Powell Sr. couldn’t help but gush over their son’s first-ever nomination at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards Jan. 5 for Hit-Man in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category. (See all the celebrities at the 82nd annual event here.)
"It’s a big night for us," Cyndy exclusively told Zuri Hall on Live From E!: Golden Globes. "Hit-Man is one of those that he found, he wrote and produced. It’s a journey that we’ve been on a long time and we’re really proud."
As for Glen? Well, the Twisters star, who complemented his parents in an all-black suit and aviator shades, is soaking it all in while looking forward.
"I got to team up with some of my favorite filmmakers and collaborators, so hopefully, the best is yet to come,” he added. “This was a very surreal year that I got to have my family with me to celebrate this moment—it's pretty wild.
And tonight, he's ready to face off against some major stars in the category, including Jesse Eisenberg (A Real Pain), Hugh Grant (Heretic), Gabriel LaBelle (Saturday Night) and Sebastian Stan (A Different Man).
While it's not an uncommon dream for actors to receive their own golden statuette, Glen wasn't sure the Richard Linklater-directed film—which he wrote with the filmmaker—would even make it to the silver screen with the number of times it nearly "fell apart."
However, he told Deadline last month that on set, "there was a collective feeling of who you can be if you set your mind to it."

With the help of Linklater, Glen shined as the mundane Gary Johnson, who moonlights as a hitman for the police department and ultimately falls in love with a woman of interest in a murder (Adria Arjona).
"We figured out where fact and fiction were married by taking this idea," the Anyone But You actor explained, "the fantasy of a hitman, the fantasy of ourselves."
For the 36-year-old—who is also starring in the upcoming Hulu series Chad Powers premiering later this year—having his family's support has been essential to his career.

"The thing that keeps me the most sane, with anything that changes I know that they're going to be there and they're the consistency in my life," Glen told E! News' The Rundown last February. "They're enjoying the ride as much as I am, they'd never miss a premiere. They never miss an opportunity to celebrate me and I'm really grateful for that."
His loved ones, especially Cyndy, has kept him humble amid his meteoric rise to fame in the past few years.
“It's very funny to be on this journey with them," he shared, "obviously sometimes you don't realize the changes that are happening, but often your mother is the first person to realize that the temperature has changed a little."
