It’s official – Halle Berry and Van Hunt are engaged!

while appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (February 5), the 59-year-old Oscar-winning actress set the record straight, confirming that she and the 55-year-old musician are in fact engaged.

Keep reading to find out more…“There’s some confusion,” Halle began. “It’s going around that I, that my guy Van Hunt—I’ve been dating him now for almost six years—well, there’s some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no.”

“I did not say no,” Halle affirmed. “We just don’t have a date, but of course I said yes, I would marry him!”

As Jimmy congratulated her, Halle teased, “He did put a little ring on it.” Cameras then got a quick glimpse at the chunky gold engagement ring, featuring black designs and a diamond a top, on Halle‘s finger.

Back in June 2025, Halle revealed that Van had popped the question, but she admitted that she was hesitant about accepting because she has already been married times before.

In another recent interview, Halle further explained why she didn’t accept Van‘s proposal right away.
