Hallmark Channel star Robbie Simpson is getting married!

The 36-year-old actor, who was one of the memorable contestants on Finding Mr. Christmas season two, just got engaged to boyfriend Kyle Pollak.

Robbie popped the question in a surprise proposal in Sydney, Australia, where he was spending time with Kyle while working on the international play Afterglow. After appearing in the New York cast of the play years ago, Robbie is currently part of the creative and producing team to bring the show to other countries.

People reports that Robbie planned a romantic surprise for Kyle in Sydney.

After asking Kyle to marry him at Sydney Harbor, Robbie brought his love onto a seaplane to take in the views of the Australian coastline. The day also featured dinner at a waterside restaurant in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and an evening climb of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

“I knew Kyle would love it. We love a great dinner, but we’re also adventure people, so I knew the proposal had to involve some kind of experience,” Robbie told People.

Kyle added, “My life and relationship with Robbie is far from ordinary — hence spending a week with him on an Australian ‘work trip.’ We go on the most wonderful adventures together, and it was fitting that we commit to a life together before taking off in a seaplane for lunch at a secluded waterfront restaurant” before “climbing a bridge to watch the sunset. Literally, what is my life? I wish I could relive that day a thousand times over. He nailed it.”
