The first teaser trailer for Harry Potter‘s first season on HBO Max, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, is here!

The trailer gives a first look at the beloved characters from the book series, including stars Harry (Dominic McLaughlin) and his friends Hermione Granger (Arabella Stanton) and Ron Weasley (Alastair Stout). We also get a look at the characters Albus Dumbledore, Draco Malfoy, Aunt Petunia, Hagrid, and more.

The cast includes John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Nick Frost as Hagrid and Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape.

The show was also given a surprise premiere date: Christmas, 2026!

It was expected that it would be released in 2027, so this is slightly earlier than expected.

It’s anticipated that all of the books will be turned into seasons for the HBO Max show.
