HBO recently deleted a trailer for Euphoria Season 3 that sparked widespread backlash for a particular NSFW scene featuring Sydney Sweeney. They have since reuploaded it with a slight alteration to address fan criticism. Unlike the first two installments, the third entry has received a more mixed-to-negative reception.

HBO deletes and rereleases Euphoria Season 3 trailer

HBO recently shared a trailer for Euphoria Season 3 titled “Weeks Ahead.” It offered a quick look at what to expect from the upcoming episodes. However, after a particular sexually explicit shot — in which Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie suggestively poses in a baby attire with a pacifier — garnered criticism, it was deleted.

The footage was later reuploaded with the shot intact, albeit with a minor yet key alteration understood through closer inspection. At the 0:33 mark, Cassie’s baby attire’s pink hoodie, which had a transparent look in the original trailer and thus showed some nudity, was digitally altered to cover the exposed parts. Notably, the previous clip can still be viewed online.

Euphoria Season 3 premiered its first episode on April 12, 2026. It pays a special tribute to the cast and crew members who passed away before release: Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, and executive producer Kevin Turen.

The episode picks up five years after the previous season’s conclusion. Rue and her schoolmates have now entered adulthood and are dealing with different challenges. The former works as a drug mule for Laurie, to whom she owes a massive debt.

Meanwhile, Jules has moved to New York and become a sugar baby, while Lexi has landed a job as a production assistant on a Warner Bros. soap opera. Maddy now works as a talent manager for actors, while Nate and Cassie are engaged. The former has taken over his father’s business. Meanwhile, the latter has started a career as an erotic influencer, which he disapproves of. However, she turns to OnlyFans to pay for her and Nate’s dream wedding.

New episodes will air on HBO and stream on HBO Max every Sunday until May 31, 2026. Sam Levinson created the series, also serving as showrunner and executive producer.
