One of the stars of The Boys has opened up about Homelander’s weakness. Power isn’t always about strength, and that idea is now shaping the final stretch of the Amazon Prime Video series. A new update from one of its cast members hints that Homelander’s biggest flaw isn’t physical; it’s all in his head.

Valorie Curry reveals Homelander’s mental weakness in The Boys

Valorie Curry, who plays Firecracker, recently shed light on how Homelander really operates. According to her, he isn’t the mastermind he believes himself to be. She explained that he acts on impulse rather than strategy, saying he’s “all instinct, all reaction.” Homelander thinks he’s playing a calculated game, but that’s not the reality. That gap between perception and truth may be where things start to fall apart for him (via Screenrant).

Her comments also highlight a shift in power dynamics. Curry pointed out that characters like Sister Sage may actually be pulling the strings, not Homelander. That adds a new twist to the story, especially for Firecracker, who slowly realizes that being close to someone powerful doesn’t mean you have control.

In fact, she sees it as the most dangerous place to be. “I think Firecracker’s only really realized by the end of season four that she would be a pawn, that she would be a tool that this proximity to power is not actually power. And in fact, it’s the most dangerous place that she can be,” Curry explains. That realization could change how she behaves in the final season.

This ties directly into Homelander’s long-standing flaw, his ego. The show has consistently hinted that his arrogance is both what makes him dominant and what could destroy him. Even loyal allies may not stick around if his unstable behavior keeps escalating. Firecracker is also conflicted. She’s struggling to figure out if she should be scared of Homelander or look up to him.

Whatever the case may be, the final installment is set to raise the stakes even higher. The final chapter begins on April 8 with two episodes, followed by weekly releases until May 20 on Prime Video. The creators have already made it clear that no character is guaranteed to survive.
