Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 is heading home soon.

The animated blockbuster will become available to watch digitally beginning Tuesday, August 18, nearly two months after it opened in theaters.

However, the August 18 release is a paid digital release, not its Disney+ premiere date.

When and where can you watch Toy Story 5 digitally?

Beginning August 18, viewers will be able to rent or purchase Toy Story 5 through digital retailers like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.

Disney’s official movie page confirms the August 18 digital date, while the studio has also released a new promo for the physical edition.

Exact pricing hasn’t been announced yet.

When will Toy Story 5 be released on Disney+?

Disney has not announced a Disney+ streaming date for Toy Story 5.

The company’s current Disney+ guide to the movie still focuses on its theatrical release and does not list a streaming premiere yet. The first four Toy Story movies are already available on Disney+, along with shorts and specials from the franchise.

When will Toy Story 5 be released on Blu-ray and DVD?

Fans who prefer physical media will have to wait a little longer. Toy Story 5 arrives 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 22, according to Disney’s announcement. A limited edition 4K SteelBook featuring the returning toys and new technology-themed characters like Lilypad and Smarty Pants will also be available.

The home release includes behind-the-scenes featurettes about the movie’s returning characters, new voice actors, and the army of Buzz Lightyear toys. There’s also a gag reel, commentary from members of the creative team, and deleted scenes.

Plus, digital purchasers will get additional exclusives in the form of the official music video and lyric video for Taylor Swift‘s original son “I Knew It, I Knew You.”

Disney is also preparing to release a digital two-movie collection that pairs the original Toy Story with the fifth installment and five-movie digital and DVD collections.

Toy Story 5 opened in theaters on June 19 and went on to cross $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
