Crystal Harris is married!

The 39-year-old widow of Hugh Hefner, who appeared on the E! reality show The Girls Next Door, just tied the knot with James Ward in a private island wedding ceremony on Aitutaki in the Cook Islands.

The couple got married on Thursday (April 2) with no other guests present at their ceremony.

“We chose the Cook Islands because of how remote it is,” Crystal told People. “There are no big chain hotels, which makes it feel incredibly peaceful and authentic. It’s also home to one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. Since James and I both love the ocean and nature it felt like the perfect place for us to start this chapter of our lives.”

She added, “Because the wedding is small, it allowed us to focus on the meaningful details rather than managing a large event. We didn’t want a huge production. We wanted something quiet and personal where we could really be present with each other and the moment.”

If you didn’t know, Crystal was married to Playboy founder Hugh Hefner from 2012 until his death in 2017. She told her story in her memoir, which was released last year.

Crystal got married to James, a real estate professional, in May 2025 after a year of dating.
