Kylie Jenner simply can't stop matching her manicure to her gala gowns! It was common to wear the exact same shade on your nails and your red carpet dress back in the day, but that trend has mostly passed as celebs typically opt for more neutral hues for the versatility, like the ever-popular milky nail. But Jenner has been having fun with her nails while attending awards shows and premieres alongside her actor boyfriend Timothée Chalamet—including making a very compelling case for a bright jolt of orange.

Now, orange isn't a typical winter manicure color, like your navy blues, emerald greens, and rich wine reds; its warm, citrusy hue feels more like the beach than the ski slopes. But that's exactly why it feels so refreshing to see it on Jenner's trendsetting hands, just like a glass of ice-cold orange juice when you need a bright boost. For the Palm Springs International Film Awards on January 3, Jenner again went head-to-toe orange in support of Chalamet's Marty Supreme, wearing a glitzy rust orange gown with a mani to match.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder opted for a long length and squared-off shape, but instead of the tangerine color she chose for the NYC premiere of the A24 movie, this version of the Marty orange nail was slightly darker in tone, more copper versus citrus. They were almost the exact same color as her metallic dress, and both Jenner's nails and her gown absolutely shimmered in the camera flash, exuding a captivating warmth that was right at home in the Palm Springs desert. As always, Jenner turned to her go-to manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, to bring the orange vision to life.

Jenner has clearly embraced method dressing (or is it method manicuring?) to support Chalamet and Marty Supreme, but we're just kicking off awards season. Will she continue the orange-on-orange-on-orange theme for the Golden Globes and Oscars? She skipped the shade in favor of a barely there nail color and black gown for the Critics Choice Awards just a few days after Palm Springs, but there are so many orange tones as yet unexplored that we're really hoping she keeps the trend going.
