Couldn’t help but wonder how stars like Sarah Jessica Parker fall asleep at night?

The “Sex and the City” star once shared an Instagram Story snap of her bedside table, complete with a bottle of This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray.

Fellow famous fans include Millie Bobby Brown and Joe Jonas, the latter of whom told the Strategist he “highly recommends” the natural sleep aid, which features notes of lavender, chamomile and vetivert.

Pros:

  • Creates a nice bedtime ritual
  • Calming scent seems to help me fall asleep

Cons:

  • A little pricey, especially since I often repurchase
  • Easy to go overboard if you spray too much

“I overdo it sometimes and spray it so much that our entire bedroom smells like the spray,” he quipped.

This Works’ CEO, Dr. Anna Persuad, calls her products “functional fragrance,” drawing on neuroscience to develop blends that could help activate areas of the brain “associated with emotions, pleasure and calmness.”

While I’d covered the formula — and its posse of celebrity admirers — for years, I had to see (and sniff) it myself to truly believe the hype.

Now, having tested it out every night for at least a year, I can personally attest that the Deep Sleep formula is the only pillow spray I’ve ever gotten truly hooked on.

While nothing is a miracle worker, smelling the relaxing blend really helps me wind down for bedtime. I’ve gotten so accustomed to it, I’ll even get out of bed in the dark to grab some if I forget to spritz it.

I sympathize with Jonas’ urge to spray it all over, but I will warn that it can be overly fragrant if you go overboard. That said, my sensitive skin has never had a reaction to it.

It’s a great way to make your bedtime ritual feel a little more luxe (without splurging on a three-figure blanket or sheet set), and I’ve turned several friends and family members on to it, too.

With Sleep Awareness Week running now through March 16 (and energy running low post-Daylight Savings Time), there’s never been a better time to grab a bottle.
