Fans are curious as to whether I Will Find You has been canceled or renewed for Season 2. The series follows David Burroughs, played by Sam Worthington, who gets falsely imprisoned for the murder of his son. With the recent premiere, many wish to find out if it will roll out another chapter.

Here is everything you need to know about a potential second season of the crime mystery series.

Where things stand with I Will Find You Season 2’s renewal

I Will Find You has neither been canceled nor renewed for Season 2.

The show premiered on June 18, 2026, with all eight episodes dropping together. This sparked curiously regarding whether future installments of the show are in the works. Furthermore, Netflix has been using a relatively new trend in recent years: splitting shows’ seasons into separate parts to build anticipation mid-season. I Will Find You, however, doesn’t follow this release strategy.

Moreover, the show has been touted as a miniseries, which usually have little-to-no chance of renewal.

I Will Find You is based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben. The author was asked in his interview with TV Insider if he would write a sequel novel following the events of Season 1. “Probably not,” he said. Coben continued, “Whenever I do [a show] — I think this is my 13th series with Netflix — it’s always with the intention of never writing these characters again.” The 64-year-old added, “It’s all out on the table. It’s not fair to ask people to watch eight episodes of a series and wait two years for Season 2, so everything is kind of answered.”

However, he noted that he won’t say “never.” Coben explained, “If we somehow came up with a storyline that would be as good as this one for these characters, I would tell it, but I don’t think we’re going to, and I’m not going to push it. I’d rather do a new story.”
