There is more insight available into why Chase Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini have broken up again, possibly for good this time.

An insider told People that the pair are “not dating right now.”

The couple previously dated for three years before breaking up in September. Reports later surfaced that they had reconciled ahead of New Years, but now the on-again, off-again pair appears to be off once more.

“They still love each other, which is why they’ve kept trying to make it work. But their lives are in very different places right now. Figuring out where to live and how to truly merge their lives has been hard lately. It’s been something they’ve gone back and forth on,” the source told the outlet.

A second insider added that Kelsea has always been supportive of Chase, “but it hasn’t been reciprocated, especially as her career has continued to grow. It feels like there’s insecurity there on his end.”
