‘Suits’ Alum Gabriel Macht Reveals He and Wife Jacinda Barrett Have Moved Out of the U.S.

Meghan Markle better get her suit pressed.

As the Suits LA cast celebrated the sequel series premiere in Los Angeles Feb. 20, they shared how they would feel if the Duchess of Sussex, who played Rachel Zane for seven of the original series’ nine seasons, reprised her character.

As Stephen Amell, who plays Ted Black in the series premiering Feb. 23 on NBC, teased to E! News’ Francesca Amiker in an exclusive interview, “You never say never—people come back—you never know.”

He added, “She’s always welcome, of course she’s always welcome.” (For more from the Suits LA cast tune into E! News, Monday Feb. 24 at 11 p.m.)

Later, Gabriel Macht, who co-starred with Meghan in Suits and will appear in the new series, added, “I see any of the characters in the original show having an opportunity for doing what they do best to share their talents.”

Meanwhile, Suits creator Aaron Korsh is already cooking up an idea for Meghan—who tied the knot with Prince Harry in 2018—to return.

“If Meghan ever wanted to come back obviously the door would be wide open,” Aaron emphasized, noting that if the Duchess of Sussex were to return it would have to be alongside Patrick J. Adams. “Look, Rachel Zane is connected to Mike Ross so they would have to be together and I’d have to put my brain to it.”

As to where he sees the fictional couple now?

“They were living in Seattle last time we talked about it,” he continued. “I wouldn’t want them to be going through any kind of marital strife. I liked them together. I guess we’d have to wait and see.”

Of course, plenty of the cast couldn’t contain their excitement for Gabriel reprising his role of hotshot lawyer Harvey Spector. As Stephen noted, “That was the character that I fell in love with when I watched the original.”

Although it may be a minute before Harvey graces the screen as Gabriel revealed he was about to start shooting his scenes.

“I’m having some flashbacks,” he gushed. “It’s all good.”
