Saturday Night Live is taking a break from new episodes this weekend.

If you’re tuning in on Saturday, October 17, NBC will be airing a repeat instead. There’s already a return date on the calendar, along with the next host and musical guest.

Here’s what to know before you settle in to watch.

Is SNL New Tonight, October 17?

No, tonight’s episode is a rerun.

NBC’s schedule lists the Season 52 premiere, featuring host Jalen Brunson and musical guest KATSEYE, in the late-night slot around 11:30 p.m. ET. Check your local listings for the scheduled broadcast in your area.

The episode originally aired on September 26, marking the first hosting appearance for Jalen and the group’s first appearance as musical guest.

Why Isn’t SNL New Tonight?

The show is on a previously announced two-week break after opening the season with three consecutive new episodes.

NBC included the break in its September announcement of the season’s first hosts and musical guests. That means there also won’t be a new episode on October 24.

When Does SNL Return, and Who Is Hosting?

New episodes return on Saturday, October 31, with Inde Navarrette making her hosting debut.

Gracie Abrams will join her as musical guest, marking her second appearance.

The Halloween episode will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT. Previous episodes are also available on Peacock if you’d like to catch up during the break.
